Our Story
My kids were getting older, an empty nest was getting closer, and life was as hectic as ever. After years of building a career and raising a family, I found myself wanting something of my own that was purely creative and fun.
I've always been the person making the plans, connecting the people and finding the next thing to do. My husband even nicknamed me “Jendenda” because I was forever adding something to the agenda.
So naturally, I started thinking about a side hustle.
Somewhere along the way, I started looking at hats and realized I couldn't quite find what I wanted to wear.
There were plenty of funny hats. Plenty of trendy hats. Plenty about being a hot mess mom and drinking rosé all day.
And listen, we've been hot messes. We can absolutely drink rosé all day. But that's not the whole story.
We're playing pickleball and learning mahjong. Planning girls' trips. Starting businesses. Joining book clubs. Going to happy hour. Picking up new hobbies. Needlepoint might be next. Never say never.
We're still curious. Still making plans. Still finding new things to love - and still adding things to the agenda.
I wanted hats that felt like us. Current without trying to be younger. Funny without being ridiculous. Stylish enough to actually wear. And built around the friendships, hobbies, inside jokes and little adventures that make life more fun.
That's how Side Hustle Social Club began.
Because a side hustle doesn't have to make you money.
Sometimes it just has to make you happy.
